Samantha Hayes

What Samantha does at the Foundation:

As Grants Associate, Samantha supports the Foundation’s full grantmaking cycle and serves as a key point of contact for organization’s seeking grant opportunities. She leads the NPO Connect program, where she coordinates outreach and capacity-building initiatives designed to strengthen and engage local organizations. Additionally, Samantha handles the Foundation’s communications and media relations, including newsletters and press outreach.

When Samantha’s not working:

A Roanoke local, Samantha loves exploring the region, from mountain biking up Mill Mountain to fishing on the James River.  She is also an avid crafter and audiobook listener who has recently added knitting to her list of hobbies.  She loves spending her free time with her friends, family, and cat named Barbara.
