The Star City Robotics Foundation is dedicated to fostering a passion for STEM education among students in the Roanoke Valley by supporting FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Teams. These teams, made up of high school students and their mentors, collaborate on hands-on robotics projects and take part in exciting competitions. The Foundation awarded a $4,300 grant to Robotics Team 10004—comprising 15 local students—which enabled them to purchase essential equipment.
