DESCRIPTION:PRESENTATION SLIDES  \nLET’S TALK ABOUT: Community Foundation Serving Western Virginia is excited to have Beth Deatherage\, HD Web Studio\, join us this month!  In this half-day workshop\, Beth will help you make the most of your social media platforms and share fun and incredibly effective ways to market your nonprofit.  You don’t want to miss this opportunity.  Staff and board members are welcome!  Space is limited.  \n SPEAKER: Beth Deatherage\, HD Web Studio \n\n\n \nBeth Deatherage\, Vice President and Director of Accounts\, has fifteen years of experience in sales and marketing and began her career at HD Web Studio in 2010. HD Web Studio is a marketing firm located in Martinsville\, VA\, Danville\, VA and Charlotte\, NC. In her current role\, Beth facilitates marketing efforts for more than 120 clients.  \nBeth previously served as lead business coach for SmartStart\, an entrepreneurial training program offered by the Martinsville-Henry County Economic Development Corporation. Beth occasionally works as an adjunct faculty member at Patrick Henry Community College and a guest lecturer. She covers a range of topics related to business plan development\, branding\, strength marketing\, messaging\, and online marketing. \nBeth received a Bachelor’s of Art in Political Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech). She earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Averett University. \nBeth is the current Vice Chair for CHILL\, an active member of the Go Virginia Region 3 Marketing Committee and a member of the Martinsville City Public Schools Endowmenet Board.

DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE  \n  \nLET’S TALK ABOUT:  A new year is a perfect time to assess what it is you want to attract more of in your life…and put together a plan to get there.  Creating your best life has as much to do with what you remove from it\, as what you add to it.  Most of us are unconscious about how our mental energy is used throughout the day and how it can drain us. \nThis interactive workshop will help you identify those drains and you will leave with a plan to free up your energy.  Bring your journals and get ready to tackle the new year and the promises it holds for you. \nNonprofit staff and board members are welcome!  Space is limited. \nSPEAKER: Kathy Baske Young \n \nKathy Baske Young has been an Executive and Organizational Coach for the past nineteen years. Prior to becoming a professional coach\, Kathy worked in sales and sales management in television\, most recently as VP of Sales for WRC-TV\, the NBC Owned and Operated station in Washington DC where she was responsible for over $100 million in revenue and a staff of 28 people.  \nShe has coached Fortune 500 executives and teams in a number of fields\, including pharmaceutical\, high-tech\, telecommunications\, real estate investment and professional sports.  Kathy has facilitated a number of strategic planning and decision-making retreats over the years.   Kathy has a knack for creative problem solving and a good sense of humor.  \nKathy is former chair of the Roanoke Chamber of Commerce and Leadership Roanoke Valley.  She currently serves on the board of Saint Francis Service Dogs\, and United Way of Roanoke Valley.  She lives in Roanoke with her artist husband Mark and their 15 month old yellow lab\, Chowder.   \n
