The “Paycheck Protection Program Loans” (PPP Loans) are potentially able to save over 100\,000 nonprofits from closing their doors.\nThe National Council of Nonprofits reports that over half of nonprofits have just one month of cash reserves. Fortunately\, the PPP Loans will provide these nonprofits with loan-grants to cover eight weeks of payroll\, benefits\, rent or mortgage interest and utilities. The eight week grants are likely to save at least 100\,000 nonprofits who would otherwise close their doors.

She spent most of her career with ACS/Xerox in various HR leadership roles. A SHRM Senior Certified Professional\, she has always gravitated towards the professional development of employees\, managers\, and senior leadership. In addition to her corporate HR roles\, she is a Certified Coach through the Coach Training Alliance. Jeanne is currently functioning as the VP of People and Culture at Valley Star Credit Union\, a not-for-profit organization.  In this role\, she manages the daily Human Resource and Training functions while also enhancing the company’s culture initiatives. She continues to be actively engaged with leadership development and building highly engaged workforces. She resides in Botetourt County with her husband Kevin and her chocolate lab Nellie.

He spent a year at the University of Muenster in Germany as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar. \nAfter working in Boston as a reporter for The Wall Street Journal\, Bill became national sales manager for Dynamark Inc. in Charlottesville. He then taught English and coached wrestling at St. Christopher’s High School in Richmond for three years\, before moving to Southwest Virginia in 1985 and founding Wordsprint\, a marketing services provider. \nWordsprint specializes in marketing and fundraising campaigns for technology companies\, colleges\, and non-profit organizations. Beth occasionally works as an adjunct faculty member at Patrick Henry Community College and a guest lecturer. She covers a range of topics related to business plan development\, branding\, strength marketing\, messaging\, and online marketing. Beth received a Bachelor’s of Art in Political Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech). Driven by meaningful work\, she has dedicated her professional life to bettering the community through building the capacity of nonprofits to achieve their missions. Alison is trained as a Technology of Participation (ToP) Facilitator and enjoys guiding nonprofits through the strategic planning process. As Vice President of the Council of Community Services\, Alison provides support and leadership to talented staff in several programs. \nAlison serves in an executive leadership role in several associations across the state\, as well as serving locally on the Local Office on Aging’s Advisory Board and the Smart Beginnings Greater Roanoke Operations Committee. She earned her BA in Sociology from Roanoke College and her Masters in Nonprofit Administration from Louisiana State University. Alison earned her Certification in Volunteer Administration (CVA) in early 2009 and is a Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP). She has been employed by the Council of Community Services for over 17 years.  She is married with one child.  \nalisonj@councilofcommunityservices.org \n \nAmanda Holcomb serves as the Community Engagement Manager at the Council of Community Services. Amanda provides support to various functions including internal operations\, external engagement\, marketing and development\, and to programs including HandsOn Blue Ridge and Nonprofit Roanoke. Amanda is trained in Technology of Participation (ToP) Facilitation and has developed strategic plans with several organizations\, including Blue Ridge Continuum of Care\, Taubman Museum of Art\, Kids Soar\, and St. Vincent Homes. \n Amanda enjoys the opportunity to tell impact stories. She manages the Council’s social media accounts\, website\, and the Nonprofit Roanoke e-blast\, the same newsletter she first discovered the Council and her initial position eight years ago. Her passion for making an impact carries over to other areas of her life where she currently serves as Vice President of The MaDee Project\, Chair of the Steven W. Short Memorial Golf Tournament and Scholarship Program\, and staff representative of the Roanoke Valley Violence Prevention Council.
